I recently requested Support from the Mandrake Community, in the absence of such, I took my problem to the developers of Perl.  Here's an unpopular response about my inquiry.

-Uuselargefiles means *don't* use large files.  -D == define.  -U == undefine.

I guess inquiring minds want to know, WHY is Mandrake NOT Supporting Large Files in the stock distribution of PERL?

SINCE I NEED LARGE FILE SUPPORT, CAN I GET IT WITH MY MANDRAKE?
