Hello,

I don't use Kaffe much but it seems to me that my 9.0 installation has a
"functional" kaffe without Klasses.jar. I just wrote a simple hello world
program and ran it with Kaffe successfully.

What are you trying to accomplish with Kaffe? You may be better suited to
look at GCC's java interpreter (gcj I think - could be wrong on this one)
which I'm pretty sure ships with Mandrake or use the SUN JDK.

Best regards,

David

Subject: [expert] Kaffe in Mandrake 9.0

        Hello,

I am trying to run Kaffe's virtual machine. But there is not
any file named Klasses.jar in my system. According to Kaffe's man page,
it should be on /usr/share/kaffe/, but that directory doesn't exist on
my system. Of course, I have checked I installed the package.
By reading the list of files included with the package in
rpmdrake, it seems it is not included. Is Kaffe broken in Mandrake 9.0?
Thank you in advance for reading this e-mail.

        Fabian.
