You might think you want to make this change but you really do not: localhost.localdomain is the name that your loop back device (127.0.0.1) needs in order to maintain stability within the OS. Without this name being in the hosts file, you will have some problems.

You could consider naming the hostname, "buddy", on a NIC device, such as eth0 (depending on what you have setup).
