Thx. But still a few questions:

1. Why compile it? I thought that it makes a difference only once the new
kernel booted (or am I wrong?!) and my 2.5.x doesn't. Is there no rpm for
it?
2. So after installing this it should boot ok?
3. Can I still use a 2.4.x kernel after that (maintain my old kernel for
some other stuff)?

Thx again for the help mate.

Best regards,
Adrian Golumbovici
