With all the trouble I had with 8.0 I would have been surprised if they
were able to maintain compatibility.  Funny though they had the same
problem with 7.0 and simple came out with 7.1.  Since 8.0 was a gcc3
product I wonder what the major break is.

It's not an unfair policy either.  Heck the only reason I downloaded 9.0
is because it took so long to get it otherwise.  BTW do you know if they
are going to offer a disk only powerpack?
