I thought it was possible, but I can't find anything useful on the web.
40gig is too much to copy on CD, so I'll have to buy me a new harddrive. Or are there other alternatives ? I have 2HDs and 2CDs, so no IDE-slots left, and I don't want to have the same problems as elPunishar :-)
Any ideas are welcome !

(no, > the demo version isn't functional) Are you saying you want to *convert* the filesystem from ntfs to ext2 without damaging the data, or do you want to *resize* the partition (non-destructively) in order to make room for an additional ext2 partition? If the former, I don't think that is possible - to change a filesystem generally requires formatting the partition to the new FS. If the latter (which makes more sense, in light of your comment about Partition Magic), then google for it. I managed to find a demo version of software that ran from a DOS boot diskette, to resize the NTFS-5 (WinXP) partition on my laptop. This was less than 6 months ago, so it should still be available.
