Ahem...for the moment, nevermind. I twiddled and force the system to use the via82xx module and it seems to work fine...we'll see if it REALLY works with a little messing around since it is sharing an IRQ with my USB subsystem (and hence, my printer). I've had problems with this in the past, particularly since I've had to disable ACPI (or is it APCI? Whichever one involves system resource checking). praedor - -- The First Amendment rests on the assumption that the widest possible dissemination of information from diverse and antagonistic sources is essential to the welfare of the public. - --Justice Hugo Black GnuPG fingerprint: D170 2A02 B426 6AA0 5E68 3EDC 68AA FDB0 961E 4F18 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+6hoFaKr9sJYeTxgRAhfYAJ9WmI0KzW18VqFGsa/H2u9xrqokmQCgg5Tz BSlrZsADJ+LBfdJk7KNUtQQ= =iXWA -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
