I am going to guess that it mounts as /dev/sda, and if you have supermount running, then it will attempt to mount to /mnt/removable, which you may not have yet, and it will be created for you. You may also get an icon for it on your desktop. If you have not used USB Storage Devices before, I would watch the kernel logs when it connects to see what is going on, you need to be root: #tail -f /var/log/messages.
