You lost all 3d acceleration? Wow. I just finished sticking a new box together for a friend and helping him install Bamboo; 2xAthlon MP 2000+, 1024 MB PC2700 DDR, GForce4 (MSI) MX440 64 MB card, a few other bits'n'bobs, and GLX gears were a blur even before I had him run the NVidia installer. After installing the .25 kernel (the "upgrade") I just had him run the installer again and both (standard .13 enterprise and .25 enterprise) kernels load X without complaint. > I would like to avoid if possible downloading the raw files from the NVIDIA > site since the current driver was working fine until I upgraded the kernel. > > Thanks up front for any help! If you still have the NVidia installer on the system just run it against the new kernel. You should be right after that. It introduces a standard language for computer typography, and in terms of importance could rank near the introduction of the Gutenberg press. -- Gordon Bell
