The version of swsusp is from the middle of an intense development spurt which seems to have finished with a stable pre-release -- the swsusp list has gone quiet. So I'd expect that 9.2 will suspend to disk nicely. Suspend to RAM is going to need a 2.6 kernel, it isn't being backported to 2.4.
