Hello all, I'm having some problems due to Python2.3 (I think) that gets installed with MDK9.2. Prog's like "sketch" and "blender" rely heavily on python and I can't get either to run. Blender segfaults without any comments whereas sketch can't load the SKetch module...that's definitely to do with python2.3:o(
Funny thing is that i've upgraded my laptop (mdk9.1) to 9.2 which leaves Python2.2 partly intact. By that I mean python-imaging specifically and that libpython2.2.so "et all" stay intact and link to libpython2.3. In short: Blender(2.2.26) will work and sketch, alas not. Blender 2.2.26 will not install on the desktop due to missing libpython2.2. Tried to manually soft-link libpython2.3 to 2.2 to no avail. Anybody got any tricks up their sleeves, like a way to get urpmi to allow me to install python2.2 leaving 2.3 intact? Do't want to loose that now that I've got BlackAdder1.0 running:o) Or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree? Good Luck, HarM -- Mandrake HowTo's & more: http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org
