alright, installed it on my laptop. 1) it's rilly rilly purty. Haven't tried KDE stuff yet, but XFce4 and all my favorite GTK apps are right nice looking.
2) except gkrellm -- the gkacpi plugin in particular is borked (temperature area is blank white). I suppose I just need to recompile and/or update gkacpi :-) 3) Didn't get to test the install procedure, as the guy who burned the CDs for me just put the ISOs onto each disk... oh well, can't complain about favors. Mounted loopback and pulled the RPMs out to hard disk. 4) I didn't see an update kernel, granted it was quite late, but I think rpmdrake just hides it. Installed it manually but haven't booted it yet... I'm looking forward to testing swsusp though. 5) Getting the bad key error on RPM upgrades, I thought Mandrake's key was included in the gnupg package? -- Jack Coates Monkeynoodle: A Scientific Venture...
