My brand new latitude D600 was problematic. So much so that I switched distros after 5 happy years with Mandrake. I have 4 different computers with AC97 sound cards. Each of them were a pain with Mandrake. I finally gave up. On my new Dell, Mandrake couldn't even see the PCMCIA bus. -Mark
