Looking closer at the website I do see that it says MediaWiki. Though
there doesn't seem to be any way to create an account. The "Create an
Account or Log In" link doesn't allow for account creation.

I guess I'm also not used to sites where information can only be
accessed through searching for it or using a direct link. Perhaps a
mechanism to browse the wiki would be useful.

Perhaps I'm missing something when navigating the website but by
looking at the main pages and a few of the ones they link to I don't
see anything that would indicate there is more to the site than what I
can see by browsing.
