I was looking in /usr/bin because that is where the version that
Ubuntu had installed was put. Yes, it is working now! Yay!

I was posting in plain text, but it may have been wrapped. I know that
HTML is frowned upon in mailing lists.

Added to bag 'o tricks. Thanks.

As long as it prints readable code, and I can switch it back to
Hebrew, it's fine by me. In my university we have a course "C as a
mother language". I do agree- C is one mother of a language. (puns
intended)

I'll just stick with ./autogen_sh as I know that it works.

I want to thank Warren, Stephane, and Benqt (no particular order) for
helping me out these past few days. I know that you've invested a lot
of hours in getting me moving. I've also learned a lot. You guys
really are the greatest. Without you the delicate linux / wife balance
of this household would almost certainly collapse.
