Chassis Manufacturers - Dolphin - was made by Pete Elder (Jim's Father) - no longer building chassis though used chassis are still around and racing.
Maverick - made by Martin Dressler & Kenny Price who are still in business and building a small volume of a chassis design that has evolved from the Maverick. KBS - was made by Mike Kerens of KBS Engineering, with multiple designs MK-1 to MK 8.5. KBS is probably the most prolific of the F500 chassis builders. KBS is no longer doing business. NovaKar - designed by Jay Novak in Michigan and currently being built and marketed by Don Clar from California. Car has been a consistent Runoff's front runner in the hands of Jay's son Brian. Utilizes a 'Sports Car' style nose. QRE Invader - made by Mike Quadrini in the greater New York City area. The designs are similar to the KBS V and VII series chassis. This chassis has won the Runoff's 4 of the last 5 years. Red Devil - made by Don Hanley's Race cars of the Future from the 'center of the racing world' Montana. The various models of Red Devil chassis are probably the 2nd most numerous chassis. Rocketech - a one off design constructed by 2005 Runoff's Champion Doug Marsh. Sidewinder - made by Mike Moench from St. Petersburg, FL. The Sidewinder is probably the most unique of the F500 chassis as the engine is mounted on one side of the driver and the clutches are on the other side. Utilizes a 'Sports Car' style nose.
