For me, it has nothing to do with gas prices. It's all about the economics
of having been transferred to an area with a much higher cost of living.
Bluntly, when we moved to the DC area from Pittsburgh, our mortgage payment
increased by almost $2K/month. Compare that to an F500 racing budget, and you
can see what happened to my season.
Next year is another story, however.....
