I am not aware of any F440/F500 that has been designed to permit fueling
without at least partial body removal. The facts generally are that a race car
is only 'together'...1-on the trailer headed to the event...2-competing at the
event...3-on the trailer headed home.

If you are racing the car...the fuel is filled prior to every on track session
and you are good to go.

If you are Auto-Xing the car....Your fuel tank should have sufficient capacity
so that it doesn't need refueling at the event (one day event).

Popping the bodies on an off these cars should not be a big deal...3 to 7 Dzus
fasteners.

Subject: RE: [F500] RE:fuel on phatom

I just got a phatom 1996 looks like you have to take the body off every time
you want to put gas in...... How can i make something to extend the neck on the
gas tank and put a fill hole / cover on the side or in the back compartment of
the car would a low profile gas door be easy to mount on the side of the car
and can you get a nozzle or the cap out of one of these doors. has anyone done
this before or do i need to leave this alone for saftey reasons Rory
