Based on how much traffic this thread has generated, apparently a lot of
people.
There is precious little history of the class that has been captured. I,
for one, and very happy to see some of that history being captured
before it is forgotten. Maybe someday I'll find time to distill all of
this data down into a somewhat accurate history article for the f500.org
site.
Mike Kirrns and KBS was one of the driving forces that propelled F440
from an obscure regional class to a National class. KBS was the dominent
chassis for many years, and there are more KBS chassis out there than
any other.
