Never ran a Kawasaki with the Mikuni VM34 carbs, however ran about 7 years racing with the VM38 carbs. Your compression of 100psi is way down.....should be at least 125psi and preferably close to 150psi. Time for a top end rebuild.
The main jets I was running with the VM38 carbs ranged from 220 to 260 with 240's used most of the time. The problem is that the motor bogs when pushing the throttle at low end. At the top end it seems OK. It has Makuni VM34 carbs with a 100 main jet and 40 pilot jet. I have tried a smaller pilot jet but it will not idle at all. The idle screw (not air screw) has to be turned in all the way for it to idle. I have tried moving the clip up and down on the needle and it seems to do better with the clip at the top of the needle (lean). It will only idle at 1200 rpm. I checked the compression warm and both cylinders are at 100 psi.
