They said "no." My fuel cell was perfectly intact except that the neck tore
off. I sent them pictures at their request. They cite all kinds of safety
related reasons. Besides, as you stated, there's less profit in repairs and
they are not in the repair business.

Won't Fuel Safe repair a fuel cell? Seems that as long as the mesh is
intact, they could re-coat it. I know it doesn't generate as much gross
revenue as selling a new custom cell, but if all they had to do is re-coat
it, they could charge half the price of a new one and probably make a
bunch of $$. I'm sure someone has inquired...what did they say?

At the risk of speaking for all of the readership, I have seen NO
submissions on this site that references "Discount Fuel Cells." The term
has evolved into what some would refer to as an oxymoron
(self-contradicting terms). Other examples are:
Military Intelligence
Jumbo Shrimp
My personal research discovered that both Fuel Safe and ATL offer cells
for about the same price. My KBS fuel cell sold new in '03 for ~$1K from
Fuel Safe.
Order early and expect a wait.
