I know of 2 other recognized Mfg. besides Stohr offering or planning upon offering a F1000 version of their DSR/CSR. Pocket Rocket in CO and Phoenix Race Cars (formerly Malloy) in Deer Valley, AZ.

I predict F1000 will out-strip DSR and there will probably be a F1300 someday also. The old FC2000 vs. S2000 story. Closed wheel just doesn't have the same appeal.

I also predict with F1000 in existence, there will very little appeal for ever changing F500 from 2-stroke and CVT.

Which is good, since F500 fills a niche market with that drivetrain.

Many of us find F500 optimum as is and then those who do not can go to F1000 or maybe F1300 someday.

No, the concept was to re-fit older, non-competitive FCs with 1000cc bike
engines/transmissions. In theory, there are a lot of very good but
uncompetitive early-to-mid-90s FC chassis out there that need a home, so this is a way
to jump-start a bike-engined class.

Stohr has already announced his $29K roller, but at least one other
manufacturer has quietly been saying they're in, as well. This one looks like it
will stick.
