160 sounds about right to me. Make sure you bleed the air out of your
system every time you go to the track. You may want to check the operation
of your thermostat, but I think that if you had a bad thermostat, you
would
be replacing parts by now.
I took the thermo right out. The car runs beautifully at lower temps but it
gets really doggy off the line when temps creep up. I may only be applying a
bandaid solution for another problem, but in the long run I don't think it
will hurt. My guru/tuner told me to try to keep it at about 120 for optimal
performance.
