I'm confused, and could use some suggestions. I'm prepping my car for the
runoffs, and the back of the car is coated with oil. I mean it's everywhere,
and all over the carb side of the engine (494). The only place is doesn't seem
to be coming from is the oil lines. If the o-ring on the rotary valve cover
failed, wouldn't the exhaust temps be high? And the oil level for the rotary
valve doesn't appear to have changed during my last race weekend.

All the ends of the oil lines look good, no splits or cracks, they fit well,
the clamps are tight. There are no drips two days after cleaning the
connections. It must be misting it out under pressure while the engine is
running is all I can think of. Of course I can't run the engine under load in
the garage.

Do I just change the o-ring and hope? Suggestions, anyone?
thanks
Herb
