From what you say, I quess you saw it.

I know this is a lot to ask, but maybe you remember.

Is the ground electrode in the same postion as a new plug and there is actual material from somewhere bridging the 0.035" gap now?

In other words, the ground electrode is still 90 degrees to the length of the plug and not bent inwards towards the center electrode 0.035" to touch it and close the gap?

I'm not sure if John is up to messing with the car right now I think he had chemo today. The electrodes of the plug were welded beautifully together, looked like one smooth piece. I don't remember any spots on the porcelain. The engine would start and run on one cylinder even after the problem but only with the welded plug removed.
