You guys ARE old. I graduated from college in 64 won a drag racing national
championship in 1970 and did my"first solo" in a Taylorcraft BC12D out of a
grass field in Palmyra PA in 1973. I fooled around with drag, modifieds and
sprints from 1960 until 75. All that time I thought sportscar types were
snooty wealthy string backed gloves types not willing to get their hands
dirty building engines as I had been doing. (BOY WAS I WRONG) Saw my first
ever sports car event (stangely enough an autocross) at Bridgeport Airport
in 1982. Went to the Skippy school at Lime Rock in Nov 82 and went on from
there. I now wonder what it might have been like if I had gone with my frat
bro with his BP Jag XKE Coupe to Lime Rock in 62 63 etc. I might have been
racing and working on sports cars all that time...opportunities lost....
