Hi Clare, does the group you run with use SCCA rules or if they change use their own judgement! I know it is a long ride for me, but a few events a year running with you may be better than many if they change our rules at SCCA!

Hi Jim -
I don't get involved with responding to the F500 site - mainly because I am
no longer a member of the SCCA -- still have the 500 and run with a local
group just for fun - although right now Q has my car and is replacing my frame due to the many cracks and rewelds that have developed over the years. Of more
concern than the 1 or 3 inch pucks (IMHO) is the fact that every time we
turn around "THEY" keep wanting to add more weight to a car that was developed
to carry 750 lbs.

I know Q has experienced a crash at major speed - altho' not from frame
failure - he tagged a wall at The Glen - hard - at the end of the long straight - so I know he is as interested in safety as anyone in the group, which is
why I don't have my car right now - he is not interested in a "slap dash"
repair that might prove unsafe.
