One of two ways. Either use a claimer, as in lets you want to buy the shocks off Brian Novak's car. You put up the amount that's in the rule book, lets say $125 per shock, so $500 prior to the race. The car is impounded after the race, and shocks are removed and handed to you. Now, if the competitor has 4 $1500 Penske's in there, you just bought $6000 worth of shocks for $500!!! So would anybody do that? The other idea is set a limit, lets say $150 per shock, and you have to show proof by a receipt that you paid that or less and they have to be commercially available for that. You can't buy a set Ohlin's on ebay for $400, and stay within the rules. Attach that receipt to the car's log books CR

I've never seen SCCA go for anything remotely resembling a claimer class.... MM Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo!
