As the SCCA World has become more and more technologically driven (On
Line Registration, On Line FasTrack, On Line Divisional Points etc.) It
never ceases to amaze me that the SCCA process does not 'MINE' all the
data that is generated during a race event so that 'pointed'
communications can take place with each of the participants in each
class, rather than the request for comments through FasTrack.

Of course it has only been in the last 3/4 years that the Regions have
stopped Snail Mailing Entry Forms, so change comes slowly.

Maybe it is time for SCCA National to hire a Information Technology
professional in order to make the wealth of data that is generated from
Club Racing, and Solo for that matter, work for the benefit of the club
rather than get put in that Great Bit Bucket in the Sky.

Pretty much all that info with the entry form goes to the region that
hold the event not the national office. The national office in the club
racing dept. is only about 4 people. They just dont have the time to
keep track of stuff like that thats what the region officers are for.

Bummer. Gene that was a good try though. Ted Rudolph thanks for your
insight.

Makes one wonder what happens to all that info. we put on the entry
forms.
