When I initially read Gil's post I thought the same thing.  Then I looked at
it again and didn't see a grouping for FA-FC-FM-F1000 and I saw the
parenthesis (all open wheel).  Pretty graphic!

Chuck - Unless I misread the statement the only Formula car classes that 
will be run at a MARRS event will be FF CF FV F500. Thus there is not such a

speed differential. It is the FA FC FM F1000 FSCCA that are out completely. 
I look at the SCCA national action and this one region's (more to follow) 
actions as further proof of the "NASCARizatrion" of  all American racing. It

appears sedans are more popular as that is what everyone can drive on the 
street so SCCA want's to take advantage of that. The average layman cant 
tell the differences in formula cars as readily as he can an ITA or T2 etc.

Unless something is done to reverse this course you will have FSCCA and SRF 
as the only remaining open cockpit racing in a few years.
