Rory, First I always top off before any session unless I know I'm only doing a couple laps. As for the car dying like that the same thing happened to me in August on turn 3 of my last lap. It just shut off, no warning or anything. After I got towed back to our pit area I did compression checks and the usual stuff and when everything checked out okay I tried to start the car... bang, fired right up. The only thing I could determine was that through vibration or something I am unaware of is that I believe (I don't really know for sure) that something happened to my kill switch. I an in cockpit kill switch in addition to exterior switches and it's possible in my case that my may have bumped the switch while going through the chicane at our track since I died on exit. Anyway, check your switches or replace them to be sure.
