Lee, If you road race, remember the 50/50 rule on paint jobs - i.e. it only has to look good at 50 feet and 50 miles per hour.

I do not road race ( I Solo) , but I would bet that a 2 stage paint job would last a couple of years, unless you have a big crash. If you are doing a lot of abrasive driving, then single stage would save you some work and money.
