You could buy the Kaw 440 bottom I have for sale at $100. New seals and bearings.
I like that idea Richard. I'm going to look into the cost of fixing my own and I'm not really in a hurry anymore since I'm pretty well done for winter now, but before the end of March 07 I am certainly going to have this repaired and ready for a new season. Do you have the part listed on the f500 web site? Are the rods con rods good? I don't know whether or not they are a big maintenance item or whether you just replace bearings on them. In any case I will get back to you on this in the coming months, assuming you still have it.
