No pissing match at all. I just asked him to confirm what I thought we had on the car before I replied. It probably works like one, and yet it technically isn't one, so we are both right. ;-)

link and that he had put them in the car himself. Also said that Red
Devil didnt do 4 link cars until about 1998 , or so. I have not done the
4 link on mine yet, but plan on doing it soon. My only has about 10
projects lined up for it right now, including straightening the bent
front end. My car would do good on a 1/4 mile oval the way it is right
now ;)

Our car is not a 4 link, nor has it ever had a 4 link.  What you see is
just the trailing arms that are mounted above and below the rear axle
and
then those 2 rods go to a plate which has 1 connector connecting it to
the
frame.

The rear end arrangement has been modified by my dad over several years
and
he looked at the other cars in the class and took those arrangements and

made what we use today.  And the first time we took it out with those
changes we had no idea what to expect.  We just hoped it would work
better
than what we had.  And it did.  We then fine tuned the settings and have

been running it ever since, with minor changes here and there, as we
learn
the car more and got more comfortable in it.

Every car has it's own quirks, what works on one may not work on someone

else's.  Seat time and learning the cars capabilities and limits are
very
important with these cars.
