I'll probably get corrected by a car builder but, it is my understanding that, as long as the main roll hoop (the piece of pipe with the number stamped on it) remains intact and unchanged, no re-homologation is necessary.

Subject: [F500] Newbie Question: Homologation

I have a question regarding homologation thats come up in my search
for a car, and I've gotten a little confused about: If a car has had
its frame completely replaced with one of a newer design, does it need
to be re-homologated? If so, what is involved? Thanks,

-Chris
