Bill,
I use an open 5 X 10 trailer to transport my 88 Red Devil which has a
78" wheelbase. Both ends of the car protrude about 8" beyond the length
of the trailer. The trailer has an 18" tall rail around the front and
sides of it, but the nose of the car slides easily under the front rail.
When I bought my trailer (brand spankin new for $550) I wanted it to fit
in my garage with the car on it. It works great. I got my trailer from a
local builder and had to wait about a month to take delivery of it. I
suspect that most people that buy the trailers like mine, use them to
haul riding lawn mowers. They tried to sell me an expanded metal 5' tall
tailgate, that is used as a ramp. I told them I didnt want it and they
knocked off $125 from the price. This was in January of 2004.

I would like to hear or see what trailers people are using to transport
their F-500. Among my questions, will a KBS Mk VII fit on a standard 10
foot
long Featherlite open Aluminum trailer? I want to get car and trailer
combination into my garage. This eliminates most enclosed trailers.
