I just got back from Thunderhill Raceway Park, where 4 new F500 drivers took on the SCCA drivers school. Three of us from Team Novakar went to support them. These guys were great. All 4 have previous experience in other forms of racing. They are ethusiastic, hard working, fun guys with talent and bringing a well needed infusion of zealousness into our class. Everyone pitted close together and we had a good flow of foot traffic with lot's of interest in F500. If we're serious about growing our sport then we all need to support each other and be salesmen for our class. We all know it's the best bang for the buck and one of the best kept secrets in SCCA. Let's share our secret. It's a low dollar class and I've never seen a group that's been more helpful than this one. That should be easy to sell... So while we're discussing technical details like 494 tourques, let's also hear more about why we picked F500, or stayed in it for 16 years like me (How many years for you Rusty? Chuck?). Something interesting for those visiting us on the web and browsing for a race class. It bodes well that the SFR school race was one of the best F500 races we've had around here in years!
