Great News Jeff, We just had our first regional in Portland, OR on Sunday. We have at least two new guys coming in this year in the Oregon Region and two of us rookies last year are just upgraded to National licenses. I know you know Jerry Lundgren from Portland, he's been my mentor this past year and we are definitely promoting the class to others.
Jeff, I hope you and your crew of F500 drivers can make it up to Portland for one of our events and we'll try to make to Thunderhill as well. I just got back from Thunderhill Raceway Park, where 4 new F500 drivers took on the SCCA drivers school. Three of us from Team Novakar went to support them. These guys were great. All 4 have previous experience in other forms of racing. They are ethusiastic, hard working, fun guys with talent and bringing a well needed infusion of zealousness into our class. Everyone pitted close together and we had a good flow of foot traffic with lot's of interest in F500. If we're serious about growing our sport then we all need to support each other and be salesmen for our class. We all know it's the best bang for the buck and one of the best kept secrets in SCCA. Let's share our secret. It's a low dollar class and I've never seen a group that's been more helpful than this one. That should be easy to sell... So while we're discussing technical details like 494 tourques, let's also hear more about why we picked F500, or stayed in it for 16 years like me (How many years for you Rusty? Chuck?).
