No they don't bend, they crack then expload!!!  The AMA made them illegal 
several years ago...

They are a little expensive at 225 a wheel, but you cant bend them, they 
just flex and snap back. They are also used on micro sprints, and if somebody 
was to by enough they might be willing to make a wheel for our 4 on 4 
application. Again, the cost is a little high, but you could keep them forever! 
And 
there would be a bit of un sprung weight savings to boot!
