Hey guys
The vbulletin software to set up the same exact type forum here is rather inexpensive 160.00 and 30.00 a year after that, that does not include web hosting thats just the software Eric allready has the web hosting maybe everyone outa be askin him if he's open to tranfer this mailing list to the forum board type system, then people can have thier own profiles pictures etc. person to person im's messages and other stuff, maybe even a chat board added so everyone can get together and bs live!!!, If he doesnt have the time to do all the setup and stuff i would be more than happy to give him a hand and get it running, I think we all outa ask Eric first before mentioning the idea of asking some other forum to host a forum for the f500 group, Eric has supported the F500 team from day one with web hosting and a lot of effort keeping the list running and keeping this community connected. what really sucks is having to goto 3 or 4 different forum boards because a few of the guys post here and few more post somewhere else and so on This is the biggest group of F500 racers drivers and fans so why go to some other site? I agree the mailing list type communication is outdated but i dont thing anyone has suggested or even asked if eric is open to the idea of an upgrade, especially if the group is willing to throw in a few $$ to pay for it. I would like to see the f500 site expanding with more pictures, video footage, expanded car information etc, and i can do a lot of this work too. I think we just need to ask the question.

Has anyone thought to ask the ApexSpeed guys if they would offer an F500 section? They recently added an FM section, so they aren't exactly fixated on any one class. You would have the benefit of being able to track the on-going issues in other like-minded classes while non-F500 guys could see that you are a thriving community struggling with the same issues and are they. If everybody throws in a $10 annual donation the financials would covered and no one from here would have to go through the steep learning curve to get a forum up and running. Just a thought. Stan

curiosity prevents me from just automatically deleting any except obvious
junk items so I lose a lot of time reading the emails. I prefer the nice
setup that Apex Speed and Sports Racing have where their forums are
organized by categories. For example on the sports racer site you have
separate groupings for technical, driving, aerodynamics etc. I don't know
what it costs to run such a forum format but I am a $$ contributor to the
Apexspeed site and would entertain contributing to a F500 site if it was on
the forum format. I certainlyu agree that it would be easier for new people
to call up such a site without having to rely on email type operations as
they do now.
