Maybe I've been reading the wrong posts. What I've seen in these discussions
so far has been fairly positive and open debate so I don't understand the
"angerly typing" comment. I've never seen Jack's financial success impact the
class and he is fully aware of the cost conscious nature of it. However, it
will take some financial backing and mechnical/engineering skill (like Jay's)
to put a plan into action so I think the proposed nominees would be valuable
resources. I also think it would be beneficial to have others who have
contributed a lot to the class involved such as Mike Q, Jim Elder, any/all of
the chassis builders, etc. as well. We'll have to determine how and when to
form this committee but so far it's wide open to suggestions. Also, I don't
know of anyone who has objected to how someone can volunteer or be nominated to
this future committee. Maybe you would consider being a part of it to watch
oversight of costs and other objections you mention in your email. !
I think it'd be beneficial to have you and others that strongly feel the same
way as yourself represented as well.

Please remember...all we're proposing is to research an alternative setup to
see if it is a viable option in order provide A CHOICE to current and future
participants (and at a cost much lower than F1000 or FSCCA)! And there's no
need for 2-cycle/CVT loyalists to leave...why would you? With what's being
discussed, you wouldn't have to change your car at all. And out of
curiosity....how many years does it take to become a F500 loyalist? I've been
involved with them for 7 out of the 8 years I've been involved with
motorsports. But even though I'm in favor of researching this option b/c IMO
it seems to be a reasonsable, practical, and cost effective approach to
promoting class growth, it doesn't seem like you'd consider me class loyal.
