My car club has rented Waterford Hills in Michigan for July 24. Does
anybody on the list run there? If so, what did you do to the car to meet
the 75 Db criteria.

I have an '89 Red Devil with Kawi and have been reading the latest
articles about quieting down our cars. I would definitely wrap my pipes
and try to quiet the air filters. My pipes are Dynoport, and have
mufflers built in, but they are small and not very quiet. Even with
fresh packing in the mufflers I can't run Lime Rock for muffled events.

Some of the cars at the runoffs last year used an exhaust from the center
of the expansion chamber. The explanation given was that the center
location for the exhaust was quieter. It seems to make sense that the
pulse is at it's greatest intensity at the end of the chamber and less
intense in the larger volume of the chamber. I would like to change my
pipes from exhausting the end of the chamber to the center, then add
mufflers under the expansion chamber. Does this make sense, or am I just
making complication for myself? I think mufflers would fit that way
without violating the 24 inch rule. Also, I think that mufflers from the
center of the chamber would not affect tuned length, is that correct?
