Let's not kind ourselves...initial costs and operating costs are going to be much more then a little higher with these engines and that's not even getting into the chassis/body mods and shock changes. Geez the higher rpm's alone is going to burn more fuel!
Also because of the popularity of the 600cc midgets, there are a lot more people scavenging for used motors. Basically, I think the proposed changes would drive more people from the class then they would bring in. Past discussions about the costs of steering wheels, mirrors, and rims demonstrate the very clearly the nature and make-up of our class. I'll only give serious thought to considering the proposed changes when I see relevant posts on the subject from the guys who make these cars...Invader, Novakar, Red Devil, Scorpion, Sidewinder, and the TR1 Stinger.
