The biggest compaint I've heard this year is that "the engine and rules are being changed, so I'd rather wait than buy now". If you look at the classes that do well on the low end of budget most of them have stable rules. It's nice to exchange ideas but when it starts to hurt the class then perhaps we should remember what makes our class attractive. Certainly mister M. Schumacher had no qualms about two strokes and I seem to recall he was a pretty hot shoe... I'd like to see the Rave valves be legalized. Want to pull more drivers from other classes? let's put two pipes on again. No reason not to now. Once we're conistently faster than the fords I'd venture we'd start getting a lot more interest. Anyone interested in joining Steve Jondal and I at Miller MotorSports Park on Memorial Day weekend? If we get 10 cars, I'll match Ron Vince's June Sprints prize money...
Now if we can just get someone to put up the same for the Topeka National in June and add a race in the east and count the best 3 out of 4 - voila - we've got ourselves a mini-series that pays and maybe we raise our numbers by a few extra cars...or is that too simple? -jj ________________________________ FormulaCar Magazine - A Proud Supporter of Formula 500 The Official Publication of Junior Formula Car Racing Subscribe Today! www.formulacarmag.com or 519-624-2003 _________________________________ _______________________________________________ F500 mailing list - [email protected] To unsubscribe or change options please visit: http://f500.org/mailman/listinfo/f500 *** Please, DO NOT send unsubscribe requests to the mailing list! ***
