I think the best F500 engines are a bit over 100 hp. The best STOCK
production 600cc bike engines are about 110 hp. Hoiwever I think that a
really good CVT offers a performance advantage over a gearbox. I suspect
that they will be about equal in performance. Remember that they will also
weigh about 50 lbs more that a current F500.

Thanks ... Jay Novak

One thing you have to think about, you have X amount of weight, and Y
amount traction. You could double the horsepower, but you will only a
little faster lap times. You're only going to increase the accelleration
from corner to corner, and some top end...
I think you're on the right path, you would need more motor and wings to
get closer.

The current 600's are around 110 to 120 hp, correct me if I'm wrong but
the 500's are in the 90's..

what is the hp difference between a 600 cc 4 stroke and a 494 rotax? How
would that translate to time? I am 3 to 5 sec's off the formula mazda's we
all run together and are grouped together how much time difference should
there be between a 600 and a 494 average? could I make up that 3 to 4 sec's?
How much time will a wing cut off on the average lap? I am tired of racing
my self.
