Jim, I have raced 600 bikes for years, there is no way on the planet to get
another 25hp out of a 600 with stock parts. The 600's back in the early 90's
were dyno'd @ 90 or 92 hp, now with EFI and ram air get 115 or so. That's 25
hp with several complete re-designs, carb to fuelie, different heads.... So in
10 years, the manufactors might get another 25 out of them, kind of like the
difference between a Kawi 440 and a 493???

Please remember that whatever initial MC HP you use, whether published or
found on the dyno, will go up about 25 HP after the racers have sorted the
motor out over a 2 year period. This has been proven over and over again since
the beginning of car racing. For the sake of keeping both the 2 stroke/CVT and
MC choices roughly equal, this additional HP has to be kept in the calculation.
