Jim, I completely agree with your educated consumer philosophy.

What I don't get is where you got the idea that I want to road race my Zink. I recently posted a comment about the GCR rules that have basically eliminated older cars from road racing. That comment was made in the context that since the GCR and Solo rules have slightly gone in two different directions, why is it unlikely to get aluminum axles allowed for Solo only? I have also asked questions and commented on road racing issues, but that doesn't infer that I want to road race. I guess you want me to take a shut-up pill?

I bought my Zink to autocross. This has been made clear in many posts by me. Although I will run a National Tour event, I don't aspire to becoming National champion. My car is for fun and learning by my son and I.

Again, although I am a true believer in making educated purchases (for anything), I don't really appreciate being touted as an example of a misguided purchase. Please find someone else to be your poster child.
