Gary, you are right about me. I bought a 1984 Red Devil from John
Bellavance in 1987 (3 years old) and have done over ten major changes to it
ever since
to keep up with the ever improving level of technology in our class
including my latest change over this past winter. Only about 20% of the car
is still
original - thus the name "DareDevil". Rather than changing to a newer car, I
"fixed" my old car over 20 years because I fit comfortably in the cockpit
and it was cheaper than buying a newer used car. My philosophy is to make
the
car faster in order to make up for my old age!!! :) :)
Tinkering is good if you have a competitive chassis to begin with as shown
by what Dan McMahan has done to Clint's 1988 (?) KBS Mk.5 - a competitive car
to begin with but now a national championship caliber car in Clint's hands.

Jim
