Chuck, we have actually measured our transmission losses & they are NO WERE
NEAR 50%.

This would only apply to the brakes, chassis, rubbers, and other suspension
bits if you switch to engines with more HP, speed, and weight than YOU HAVE
CURRENTLY.

Like using a 600cc 120 HP sled or115-120 HP  bike engine.

Sled motors are stressed pretty hard in sleds if you run in deep powder at
full throttle.

Then there is the always present CVT loss/track drag that eats  50 % of the
HP from the crank.  That's like having a much heavier vehicle.
