On Cory's suggestion, I went straight to the horse's mouth and called Tony Murphy. Tony said that, in the absence of a torque specification, refer to the torque table in the preface of a Bombardier or SkiDoo shop manual.
With that technique, the M6x1.0 nut on the end of the cross shaft gets 89 lb/in, and the M8 water pump cover bolts get 17 lb/ft. For the curious, other sizes of M8.8 fasteners get the following torques on Rotax engines: M4-18 lb/in M5-35 lb/in M6-89 lb/in M8-17 lb/ft M10-35 lb/ft M12-59 lb/ft M14-100 lb/ft Hope this helps anyone else who might search the list/forum, Kenneth Kirkland #18 MiDiv / Arkansas Region (77) 1991 KBS Mk.
